Web 2.0 Targeted Traffic From PLR Products

Once in a while a great PLR package comes available, like the one that Aurelius Tjin released this morning at www.PLRForSale.com. This package is a perfect example of Private Label Rights packages that can be used to generate targeted traffic from Web 2.0 sites without much effort, and still be used to make money online - and lots of it!

First up, there are only 100 non-transferrable PLR copies ever to be made available - and that scarcity helps your SEO efforts, your targeted traffic generation, and your sales. With so few people able to compete with you on this product, it’s much easier to get the upper hand than it is with most Master Resell Rights products - and since you have Private label rights to the package, you’re branding yourself heavily with it, which can then boost your other targeted traffic generation efforts by adding the power of name recognition.

But the real key here is that you’re getting both the PLR e-book AND the PLR audio e-book…

As always, start by revising, editing and branding the e-book - if you’re not up to speed yet on using PLR e-books, download my PLR Tutorial Videos and simply follow along with the step-by-step do-it-yourself video lessons. Edit the graphics and salespage (also covered in the videos), and get them ready to go online.

Next, create an upsell page to go between the salespage and the payment processor, where you offer the audio e-book as well for $10 or $20 more - give them both options, the e-book alone or the e-book and audio e-book. Create the two download pages, add it to your affiliate program if you’re using Hosting4Marketers.com, hook up your payment buttons and take the site live.

Now it’s time to drive targeted traffic to it from the Web 2.0 sites and technologies. Always start by doing a blog post announcing the new product, and then ping the blog directories - especially Technorati . Give it a couple of moments, then make sure it’s also showing up in your MyBlogLog listings - Technorati and MyBlogLog are the two most important Web 2.0 sites to any Internet marketer, niche marketer or affiliate marketer in terms of promoting their blog posts.

Here’s where the power of Private Label Rights, or PLR, comes into your Web 2.0 targeted traffic generation strategies… Take a look through the e-book and see if you can find a good passage of about 600-800 words that either sums up the contents of the e-book or gives some great tips without revealing the most powerful tips in the PLR package. Copy & paste that part into a notepad file and edit it as necessary to make it into a powerful Squidoo lens. Write a summary or ’signature box’ to put at the end of it, pointing out that it’s an exerpt from your book, and recommend they download the full version for more info - and be sure to link to your salespage. Add the lens to Squidoo and as soon as it’s published, bookmark it at all the popular Web 2.0 bookmarking sites using the OnlyWire site.

Next pick 3 or 4 good tips from the e-book, and copy & paste 300-400 word passages about each of those tips into separate notepad files. Touch up anything that doesn’t flow til you have four good articles, add an ‘About the Author’ box that’s similar to the one on your Squidoo lens, and submit all 4 articles to the ten or twelve top article directories online. This is the fastest way to get a number of high-quality one-way backlinks to your new site, getting it quickly spidered in Google, Yahoo!, Live Search, SearchMe, etc.

Really want to maximize your targeted traffic from the Web 2.0 sites? Go back now to the PLR Audio, listen to it right through a couple of times, making note of any 3-5 minute passages that seem particularly crammed with great information. Once you’ve picked a couple, use your audio editing program of choice to copy and paste the two or three best passages into their own audio files. Record a quick intro pointing out that the info is exerpted from your audio e-book, and a quick exit for the audios recommending people download the entire audio from your site - be sure to both say and spell out your salespage URL! Now go back to the e-book and do the same with those exact same passages, creating a transcript for each of your new audio files.

Over the course of the next few days, add one of the transcripts to your blog as a new post, embed the audio in a player with the post, and ping the usual blog directories AND the podcast directories - after all, your new audio files ARE podcasts as soon as you add them to your blog! This is an easy process if you use a podcast plugin like PodPress - and it will let you upload your podcast to the massive iTunes directory as well! Since every audio file has your URL listed at the end of the podcast, each listener at ANY source is now part of your potential traffic. And since they were interested enough to listen to the podcast, you know they’re TARGETED traffic as well!

That looks after using your new PLR for targeted web 2.0 traffic generation - assuming you remeber to grab your copy from www.PLRForSale.com before all 100 copies are gone. If you’re too late, either write and record your own product to use this way, or watch for other PLR sales that include both PLR e-books and PLR audio e-books.

Using PLR Articles As Your E-Zine

If you haven’t started building your own opt-in list, you need to do that right away. The most important tool that an Internet Marketer has is his or her list! Aside from building that list, the next most important thing to have is something to send to that list on a regular basis to help build your credibility, and to help establish a relationship with your list subscribers.

Many Internet Marketers write their own stuff, including articles, ebooks, web content, and emails, but not all Internet Marketers have writing skills that they need. These Internet Marketers do one of two things: They either hire a ghostwriter, or they use private label rights articles.

Private label rights articles are very useful for newsletters. Where you must change PLR articles before using them on your website or distributing them to the article repositories, you really don’t have to change them at all when you are just using them as content for your list.

You will, however, want to make sure that you format them so that the lines don’t break up. There is software that will help you to do this. You will also want to personalize them a bit by adding in your products, PLR products, or affiliate products that you want to promote.

Obviously, you will need to add your signature to them, and you might want to add an ‘opening’ paragraph or two to tell your subscribers the purpose of providing the article to them. You do not have to tell them that it is a PLR article, of course.

For profitable results, choose PLR articles that will help to teach your readers something, and find affiliate products that relate to that topic. Check the article for grammar and spelling errors, and make sure that it is formatted correctly. Never send an email out to your list without testing it first by having it sent only to you!

Creating E-mail Courses with PLR Articles

Email courses are very popular. There will always be people in your niche that want to learn something new that is related to that niche, and as an expert in your field, they will look to you to teach them what they want to learn. Email courses offer the perfect opportunity to do this – and to earn some money as well.

Email courses are typically free for the person taking the course. Since you want to build an opt-in list, if you don’t already have one, you will need an autoresponder that supports multiple lists anyway. This means that you won’t be out any additional money if you offer a free email course.

You will, however, need content for that course. PLR articles offer a very viable solution. You can use the gist of the material, and make changes and additions to suit your course. The cost of niche PLR packages is very reasonable, and should fit into any budget.

You simply set up your autoresponder, and put a subscribe box on your site for that particular course. You then make changes to the PLR articles that you will be using so that you can deliver your course in a logical way that helps your readers learn what you are hoping to teach them. You then load those articles into your autoresponder, having one sent out each day, week, or every couple of days, as you desire. You’re all set to go!

Now, how can you make money by giving away a free email course? That’s the easy part. You simply promote affiliate products in the text of the course. Of course you will want to promote products directly related to what you are teaching your readers, but you can find affiliate products on every imaginable topic, so this shouldn’t be a problem.

Pricing Your PLR Products

When you have PLR, or private label rights, to a product, you can do anything you want with that product. You can change it, repackage it, and put your name on it. You can sell resell rights, master resell rights, or even private label rights. Where you may run into a dilemma is when you try to put a price on your PLR product and determine what it is worth.

First, let’s point out that if you do not change the product, other than to rename it, put your name on it, and repackage it, it probably isn’t worth what you paid for it in the first place. There are too many others that will only make those small changes as well.

If you, however, make drastic changes to the product, it is worth more. Furthermore, if you offer resell rights, master resell rights, or PLR, it is worth yet more. The price of the product is determined by how unique it is to the market, as well as how useful it is to the market. Of course, market demand plays into that as well. But you don’t want an MBA here. You simply want to know how to price your PLR products.

First, look for similar products and see what they are selling for. When you do this, be sure to read the sales pages, and see what the merchant is offering. What bonuses are included? Does the product promise something that yours does not? Is your product better?

Often, the company or person who sold you the PLR product will suggest a sales price. This is a good starting point, but take into consideration any changes that you made to make the product better, as well as what the market is willing to pay for such a product.

You may also want to test different prices to see which one pulls the most sales. This can easily be done with the use of Google AdWords, capture pages, and redirects. When a person clicks on your AdWords ad, they are taken to your capture page. Embedded in your capture page is a script that will send the person to one of several different webpages randomly or in rotation. Each of those pages is identical sales pages for your product, with different prices. You can use this data to see which price is doing better. Once you have enough data to be sure which converts best, you can eliminate the other pages - you know which price is a winner!

If the product is so good, why is the creator allowing other people to sell it as their own – and even to change it anyway that they want to? That’s exactly what happens when it comes to PLR products. Someone creates a product, then allows other people to purchase it with Private Label Rights – meaning that they can change the product anyway that they want to, and even put their own name on it.

The truth is that many PLR products aren’t worth the money. It seems that one PLR product creator will create the product and make it available to too many people. This doesn’t mean that using PLR products to build or enhance a business doesn’t work; it just means that you need to choose your PLR products with care.

But, why does the creator sell the Private Label Rights anyway?

The fact of the matter is, it is very cheap to have good products created – but promoting those products can be expensive. For this reason, the creator doesn’t try to promote the product to a consumer niche. They instead market it to the Internet Marketing Niche, allowing Internet Marketers to buy and use the product as their own.

The creator of the product makes a great deal of money doing this. Furthermore, many creators take work that they created and sold in the past, freshen it up, and sell that as a PLR product. These are typically products that they’ve already earned their money out of, and now they are just stretching those earnings even further.

Some creators start PLR membership websites, from which they earn a fortune. They either create products or have them created, and charge members a monthly fee to access them. These types of membership websites are becoming more popular, and there is a great deal of money to be made in this niche.

As you can see, there’s plenty of people making money online with Private Label Rights - either by creating products and selling them with Private Label Rights, or by buying PLR products and turning them into their own unique products. The Various Levels of Resell Rights Explained.

With the launch this week of our PLR Tutorial Videos, a number of questions have flowed in about the various types of rights - Private Label Rights (PLR), Master Resell Rights (MRR), Resell Rights (RR) and Personal Use Rights (PUR). Since there seems to be widespread confusion, let me at leasst outline the basics for you…

The most valuable of Rights you can purchase are PLR - Private Label Rights. These are products - e-books, audios, videos and/or articles - that you have the righrt to use as your own. Usually you can add your own name, edit the products any way you wish, and market them as your own products, just as if you’d created them yourself from scratch, but without the big time investment. Naturally, therefore, these tend to be the most expensive of rights.

Second in line are MRR products - those with Master Resell Rights. Usually you CANNOT modify the products themselves on these, but CAN alter the salespage, graphics, download page, etc. You have the right to resell these items, and you can also sell the resell rights to your customers, either as part of their purchase or as an upsell. For example, on some of the products I’ve created the rights are automatically conveyed to every buyer, while on others the product is $27 - $47, with the rights being $47 - $97.

Resell Rights, often referred to as Standard Resell Rights, is similar to MRR except while YOU are allowed to sell the products, your CUSTOMERS cannot. They are buying from you for their personal use only, to learn from or to use (if it’s software, etc.).

Personal Usage Rights (PUR) mean that you’ve bought the product for your own education or use, but may not resell the product in any way. This is relatively common online, but especially so with offline biz - your Windows or Mac operating system, for example, allows you to use the product, but not to resell copies of it.

Some products, usually simple software or minor reports, also come with giveaway rights, which are exactly what they sound like - you’re free to give those away any way you like. Usually these are products the creator is using to promote their product, and sometimes they allow you to use your affiliate link in the product so that you and the originator both benefit from those you give it to.

ONE MAJOR RIGHTS CAVEAT: Every product you buy should come with a file stating clearly exactly what rights you get with your purchase, especially if they weren’t clearly spelled out on the salespage and/or download page. Often, the rights carry additional restrictions beyond the general rights categories above, and it’s necessary for you to check to be sure you’re in compliance at all times.

When it comes to any type of resell rights, one general rule ALWAYS applies - ‘If in doubt, check it out!’ If you can’t find the info about the rights you have, contact the originator of the product or the reseller you got it from to be sure.

Secrets Of Monthly PLR Content

Before purchasing a membership to any private label rights membership site, there are a few things that you should be aware of.

The first thing I would like to mention is that in a monthly membership, there should be a membership cap on the amount of members that are allowed to join. This is mainly to help with any possible duplicate content issues. However the one thing that members should realize is that most members will not use all of the content every month.

You may see a cap of 500 or more members and think to yourself that 500 is way to high of a cap. But, not every member will use all of the content every single month. Some will, and most members will use some of the plr content, but not many will use all of it.

Another thing of be aware of is cheap monthly plr content (mostly plr articles) membership sites. When you see a site selling 400 plr articles a month for $10, you should ask yourself, “How are they able to charge so little?”. Well, in a lot of cases they purchase their articles from an article wholesaler. This wholesaler is selling the same articles to many different plr article membership sites.

This idea of a wholesaler sounds good… but not when it comes to plr articles. The site you join may only be accepting 200 members, but what about all of those other membership sites which are selling the same articles? Your plr articles aren’t as unique as you first may have thought. I’m not saying all cheap article sites do this, but just do your homework first. Calculate in your head the normal cost of a good article ($6-$12), times the number of monthly articles, and take into consideration the membership cap and the monthly fee. You won’t get a definite answer, so purchase wisely and get a sample article if possible before hand to check for duplication.

Using PLR Articles - What You Should Know

You have probably heard of PLR articles. These are ‘Private Label Rights’ articles, which means that you can put yourself as the author of the articles and change them anyway you like. Unfortunately, many people don’t take the time to change them – they just put themselves as the author and replace links with their own links and submit them.

First, this doesn’t do much in the way of establishing yourself as an expert or building credibility. People tend to remember what they read – and you are distributing the same article, with your name on it as the author, that countless other people are also distributing. Second, the search engines aren’t too fond of PLR articles, and they tend to ignore them.

With this said, you should note that PLR articles are a viable source for articles for the purpose of marketing – as long as you change them. For best results, they should be completely rewritten. The idea is there, the information is there…simply rewrite it. Also, make absolutely sure that you change the title of the article!

Many people purchase PLR packages and then pay a writer to rewrite the articles. Writers usually charge about two dollars for this, depending on the length of the article, and how much rewriting there is to be done. You could purchase a PLR package with hundreds of articles for about twenty bucks, have a writer rewrite 52 of them, and have enough articles for an entire year for about $124 bucks! This is an outstanding deal when you consider the time that you have saved.

Again, the key to using PLR articles effectively is to rewrite them and give them new titles. If you aren’t willing to do this, don’t waste your money on PLR packages. Taking the absolute lazy way to article marketing won’t get you very far!

PLR: The Real Way To Make Money Online?

Everyone wants to know about the real way to make money online, when the happy truth is that there are many ways. They all require different skills. Adsense can be very rewarding if you can create and, most importantly, drive traffic to good content websites, but to be reliant upon Adsense means to be reliant on Google who can ‘fire’ you by canceling your account at any time. Affiliate marketing requires you to be skilled in writing product reviews and presell pages, and the competition can be cut-throat as Adwords users try to outdo each others’ ads.

Establishing yourself as a reseller or creator of digital products has many advantages compared with these. You are firmly in control. You sell your product from your own website and collect 100% of the earnings. Or even better, you can set up your own affiliate program and have affiliates selling your products for you too. This can send your earnings soaring.

If you are wondering how to find digital products, don’t worry, it is not difficult. Of course you can create them, but assuming you do not want to, you can find ebooks or software with resale rights or private label rights. If you have resale rights you are not usually permitted to alter the products in any way, and they will contain links to the original author’s site and affiliate programs. But with private label rights you can change the product to make it unique, publish it in your own name, and include affiliate links that will continue to bring you income for a long time after the sale of the product itself.

You may get promotional material including a sales letter and graphics when you buy these digital products. These may be very well designed and it is tempting to go ahead and upload the sales letter to your website exactly as it is, except of course for adding your own payment button. However, it is much better to make some changes for both visitors and the search engines. You may be able to improve the sales page and with private label rights you can give the product a new title and graphics to make it unique.

For ebooks, it is wise to do some rewriting. In some cases the English is not good and you will have to, but even if it is fine, you will probably want to add your own ideas, change things around and create something new. This can be done in a tiny fraction of the time that would have been required to write an ebook from scratch, leaving you more time for the important things like bringing visitors to your site to buy it. Online marketing is not as difficult as it may sound, and much of it can be done for free. You can start a blog, promote it in forums, write articles, and there are many free advertising sites. There is a wealth of information on how to do all of this available on the internet.

Many marketers also use paid advertising including Google Adwords to drive traffic to their products. This can bring you extra sales but you will need good Adwords training before you start, as it is possible to lose a lot of money by choosing the wrong keywords. You may also be able to find online coupons that will give you a bonus $25 or $50 in your new Adwords account.

The most important thing you can do for your new online business is to decide on a direction to follow and then focus on it without other distractions. Many of us find that marketing products created from PLR digital products is the best way to make money online.
